ISI language school (beginners course) seeking feedback.

I'm looking to sign up to their beginner courses. I live here with my wife (japanese) and have had a hard time catching up on the language and so I'm looking to take a tertiary approach.

ISI is the school I'm looking at for no real particular reason, but having emailed them I'm worried that I'm not ready.

I've been using Duolingo to practice katakana and hiragana and I can memorize the majority of characters but still a work in progress. The school has said these are required to begin the beginners course.

Truth be told, I'm a slow learner, and I struggle with a bit of social anxiety. I crticize myself more than anyone else does and so this can cripple me if the intensity is too high.

Post-covid, can anyone offer some feedback if they went to ISI?

Also eager to hear any other alternative options if you've had a good experience.
