I'm working my way south from Tokyo to Kyoto slowly. I'm hiking Mt Fuji and then continuing on. I'm curious if there's anywhere that meets some of this description:
- Could stay at a Ryokan with an onsen
- Nearby cool mountain/wilderness hiking trails
- I'd also love the chance to wear a yukata at some point and not be completely out of fashion, if anyone knows a ryokan that gives one to you for the duration of the stay
- Accessible by bus or train on the way from Tokyo to Kyoto
I'd love to just do a day trip hike, and be able to relax in a yukata after hitting the hot springs 😛
