Maybe the title's an inaccurate way of asking this, but…
I'm interested in moving to Japan after I finish university in America. The climate in the US has gotten unfavorable to say the least. But I want to know if Japan would even be any better for me?
I'm a trans guy with facial piercings and a tattoo (in an easy to hide spot). I dye my hair from time to time but it's not like it's impossible for me to have a more natural color (I often really enjoy black or brown). I'm like, 4 months into HRT, so by the end of schooling I'll be over 3 years on HRT. If I got everything legally changed (name and sex), I'd be fine in Japan, right? Is it impossible to get a job with piercings/tattoos? I have no criminal record and I don't exactly aim to get one within the next 3 years.
