On the back end of a work conference in Asia this Oct, I added a short trip to Japan (flying into Haneda) and was wondering what the community would do if they only had 3 nights and 4 days in Tokyo. So far, my plans are:
- Friday: Fly in around 2pm, check into hotel, explore the nearby sights and grab dinner.
- Saturday: Breakfast, catch train to Hamamstu (Scotty Cameron Museum), spend 2-4 hours there including lunch, and then back to Tokyo by 1-2pm.
- Sunday: Wide open day, no plans.
- Monday: Flight leaves around 5pm, so I'll have most of the day to myself. I'll keep my hotel room another night so no issues going back there if needed.
What areas and Marriott hotels should I be looking at if I want to eat at 1 high end sushi restaurant as well as some yakitori, ramen, maybe kaiseki, etc. I'd like to do some shopping for knives, badminton stuff (Yonex HQ?), souvenirs, etc. as well.
My plan was to stay in one area and really explore that one area as much as I could, and not trek across the entire city for 1 restaurant…but would if it was something I shouldn't miss out on.
