I'm planning a 19-day solo trip to Japan in early November this year with the main focus being 4 days/nights in Yakushima. I'm pretty happy with the first half of the Itinerary but I'm unsure about the 2nd-half after Yakushima. Is it too much travel/moving around to do Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Miyajima & Nikko?
I would love to see Nikko in autumn so I was trying to work out a plan that would allow me to end the trip there before flying out of Tokyo. My other idea was to skip Hiroshima/Nikko and stay in Kyushu, maybe do Shimabara and Unzen and then fly from Fukuoka back to Tokyo?
This will be my 2nd trip to Japan, first trip was to Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka. I'm keen to spend more time in nature and get off the beaten track for this trip.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!
