Been doing a ton of research. Ive been hunting for biz class upgrades on UA to someplace in mid-july and have secured flights into KIX and out of NRT. I love Japan and have been numerous time but always in the Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka routine. This time I want to do something different so was thinking Hokkaido for some cooler weather and new scenery – never been to Hokkaido. Perhaps 1 -2 nights in Osaka to adjust but then off to somewhere else. Trip is 7 nights total so it would be 5 days in Hokkaido.
Here are some points:
- renting a car would not be an issue out of CTS
- No idea where to stay but I usually stay in 5 star hotels
- What would the 5 star hotels be in Hokkaido?
- Want to see Sapporo but then want to hit the road
- Would plan to travel to NRT the morning of my last day as my flight departs at 1800 local
- enjoy road trips but dont need to see every sight seeing opportunity
- Food is a major plus….
Any thoughts, suggestions?
