I’ve read there are too many veteranarians in Japan. What options do I have?

I'm surprised to read there are too many veteranarians in Japan. The article was from 2017, granted, but it's probably still an issue given you don't stop being a vet over night.

Would anyone know what options a future graduate has? I am specialising in large animals, specifically cattle and other food/produce animals if that helps. I would be regional if I chose to move to Japan, and I've read it's mostly due to the cities having too many small-animal/general practice practitioners who want to remain in city/urban locations.

If I had to not practice to make a living, what other lines of work would anyone recommend?

This is all long-term future stuff, but I'd like to get a general idea of what to expect. I'd appreciate any stories/experiences/stats you could share. Thanks, guys. 🙂

EDIT III: THE PHANTOM SYNTAX ERROR STRIKES BACK:
I'm picking Japanese back up after learning some at school. I'm not proficient by any means, but I'm working on it.
