Determining who makes the G1 based on a weighted ranking system.

With the numbers being cut down and the need for qualifiers we can determine who should make the cut initially or the qualifiers or make the tournament at all.

I chose to not include too many guests or former roster members. I did also pick a selection of the two top Jr Heavyweights and the Openweight TJP. The samples have been taken over the past 18 months starting with WK17. Only NJPW shows were counted alongside anytime a NJPW belt was defended. Below is the criteria for gaining points.

+2 points for any singles match win over another heavyweight.

+1 point for a singles match win over a Jr Heavyweight or Young Lion.

-1 point for any singles match loss

+3 additional points for any IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match win.

+2 additional points for any other singles championship match win.

+1 point for Tag championship match win

+1 point for a singles draw by any means

+5 points for winning a tournament

+3 points for 2nd place in a tournament
