A warning about Klook and Universal Studios Japan (USJ)

So, express passes were released a couple of days ago for the day my wife and I are at USJ (Universal Studios Japan).

I booked through Klook as USJ website was struggling. 48 hours later, Klook notifies me that they are cancelling my booked Express pass due to logistical issues between them and USJ. It was a status of confirming booking for 48 hours. During this time, I went to chat twice and I was reassured it will be processed.

Queue me rushing to book any type of express pass remaining (and no doubt a bunch of others).

What pains me is that hours or the next day the USJ website stabilised so I could have booked directly from them for the express pass that I wanted. Now I’m not getting what I want, despite being most prepared.

I get onto Klook. They wash their hands of everything. Aren’t prepared to liaise with USJ to find a way to make it work. Refund back in 5-25 days as well

Take home story. Avoid this backyard operation of a company as best as you can unless you want to add additional stress. I was lucky, some others out there probably didn’t get any passes at all now and their holidays have been dramatically impacted.
