Is the joke that Japanese food contains way too much dashi?
I missed what’s the joke here but if it meant to be some sort of a pun then 重いダシを思い出した (adding た here is a tip: it helps me to recognize 思い出す) would sound like a perfect dadjoke/oyaji-gag.
It reminds me of 布団が吹っ飛んだ
It’s a dad joke, so “would it be funny to Japanese people” is kind of determined by whether they like dad jokes.
No, but they’d probably use it as a good cover excuse for giggling at the calligraphy.
