Hopefully everyone who reads this is doing well.
Even though I am at a N2 level of Japanese, my ability to speak in Japanese is quite lacking. I would like to change this by creating more opportunities to conversate in Japanese. However living in a share house, and attending a foreign language school does not create these opportunities naturally. To that end I wanted to ask for some assistance in creating a more concrete plan of attack.
My Goal:
- To try and speak in Japanese at least 3 times a week for extended periods of time.
What I've Tried and Have Learned are Not Helping Me Meet My Goal:
- Standard Part Time Work (Convenient Store, Restaurants, etc…)
- 英会話
- Googling "Tokyo Language Exchange" or "English Japanese Language Exchange", as these kinds of searches provide very few links to resources which would facilitate in person speaking opportunities.
- Attending "International Exchange Parties".
What I would like help with:
- How might I look for good places to attend language exchange events / opportunities?
- Where can one look for hobby or sport clubs, that mainly speak Japanese, and would be willing to accept a foreigner?
- Are there any programs at any of the Universities that I might want to look into?
- Any other suggestions or ideas?
Thank you very much for reading. Any suggestions are welcomed.
