I'm currently a tourist in kyoto, I think I might have caught covid where is the easiest way to purchase a test (don't see them in 7/11 etc)
Also would be great if theirs any delivery apps like grab in Thailand that can I can purchase them on.

Pharmacy. They are located everywhere in central Kyoto. The tourist pharmacies that specialize in selling cosmetics may not carry them. Keep trying and eventually you’ll locate a test. You’ll most likely have to ask someone, as they tend to keep test kits behind the counters. Wear a quality mask and try to keep as much distance as possible from those you speak with.
You could also try going to a clinic like Sakabe international clinic. They have walk-in hours in the evening but fill up quickly so I recommend that you get there right when they open or before. The doc speaks English and can prescribe meds for pickup at the pharmacy next door.

From my previous experience, the closer the drug store was to Kyoto Station increased the likelihood of finding a rapid test kit. I got mine here at Dacs AEON Mall KYOTO in early 2023.
