Hello,
I'm planning an elopement early April 2025 for the Sakura season in Kyoto and I'm struggling to find someone to be there as a 'celebrant' (not sure what else to call it?)
I understand it is not a legal wedding but we are looking for someone to be there for 20-30min to say a few things, guide the process etc. Very casual.
It will be myself, my partner and our 1.5y/o daughter and hoping for it to take place in the bamboo forest.
Has anyone done this before and can recommend someone they used? Or just know of anyone who might be able to do this? They don't have to be particularly experienced but need to know what to say/how to guide us.
Not sure what to set as a budget for such a short period of time…
Any advice/recommendations on any part of the elopement process would be greatly appreciated!

THE bamboo forest is too crowded for that. Like a firehose of people in that season. The whole thing will be a distasteful public spectacle. “A” bamboo forest is possible.
