The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications announced that they will be banning the provisioning of points for Furusato Nozei starting October next year.
Not sure how deep everyone is in points accumulation, but historically aiming for high point yield campaign periods across Rakuten, Yahoo Shopping and various other sites have allowed me to accumulate an average of 10% points against my annual Furusato Nozei contributions.
Would recommend people start their Furusato Nozei process from early next year to get the most out of the system before October.
Rakuten is starting a petition to appeal this, but I don’t expect that they will get anywhere.
