  1. I think it’s very safe to say that Stephanie Vaquer is headed to WWE lol.

She’s quitting the company on super short notice, cancelling pre-advertised matches, and CMLL says they’re stripping her of her titles.

AEW and CMLL just started their relationship, I don’t think AEW would actively fuck them over like this by signing her and forcing her to quit the company entirely as well as canceling future appearances, especially since Atlantis Jr just won the ROH TV title, Jericho is going to CMLL, and as part of Stephanie’s exit, AEW is sending Willow to compete for her vacated title.

  2. Pretty cool that AEW was able to send Willow kinda last minute, and that Viva Van got a spot. She’s been killing it lately

  3. It was evident that sooner or later she was going to leave. Still, it seems like a very unprofessional way to do it…

  4. That was fast. Vaquer is great but it’s fair to say she’s not had that long a period of starmaking performances. Got to get that bag while you can and best of luck to her.

  5. This is definitely sudden! Curious to see what fate awaits Zeuxis and the CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Titles, given they were the first Champions and those belts aren’t even a Year old. Do they have much of a Women’s Tag Team Division in CMLL? I think they only defended against a couple of Teams in their three defenses.

  6. Man I feel like I just got exposed to her and she’s someone I wanted to see a lot more of. I don’t follow WWE too closely I’m sure she will kill it over there. Other promotions dropped the ball big time here

  7. Well gee, great cause I was going to the RevPro 12th anniversary show, Vaquer was meant to be having a match, but I guess that’s not happening now…

  8. Damn. Well, I hope she doesn’t end up in the Latino gangs abyss in WWE and in an eternal feud with Zelina Vega

  9. I guess Trips doesn’t believe in new signed talent finishing their commitments like Vince used to.

I can understand Vaquer’s thinking, why chance getting hurt.

Just seems rather brash if signing with WWE is the reason for backing out.

  10. I hope this ends the talk that “partnerships” are the reason free agents end up in other companies

This is the age where everything is easily accessible, WWE’s talent scouts are watching the same wrestling all us nerds are. End of the day WWE and AEW pay more money and offer more fame, they’re going to get the talent partnership or not.
