Car rental Kakunodate

Hi eveyone,

Just made a reservation for a car this summer with Toyota car rental, pickup in Kakunodate. I expected they would require a down payment or just to register my credit card, but nothing. It says the reservation is done and I will pay when I pickup the car.

Is that how it works ? I find it weird not to lock the rental with a credit card of some sort. Or am I crazy ? 😅

Also if you have any tip concerning car rentals, like mistake to avoid or if I should use another company, I'll glady take those 🙏
