I will be visiting Kyoto in a few months for the first time. I’m hoping to go to Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple right when it opens (which looks like 9am) and then head over to the monkey park. Is it possible to walk through the bamboo grove on the way? That may be a silly question, but I guess I’m wondering if it is a thoroughfare or if you have to go in and come out the same way. I’d like to walk through if it won’t take up extra time, but might skip it if it requires long lines to get in and backtracking to get back out.
