I have just downloaded the Tae Kim “Learning Japanese” app. I would prefer to use this over the website because of the exercises and offline access, but underlines are bugging me. [Here is a screenshot to show what I mean.](https://ibb.co/68h791C)
I can’t find an option to turn this off. Does this bother anyone else and do you think it will affect me learning new Kanji? I already know the kanji in the screenshot, but I’m worried that I might learn new Kanji incorrectly because of the underline. I’m wondering if I should just use the website.

since you know that it is and recognize it as an underline i would not worry about it. you’re not going to learn the kanji incorrectly because of it because clearly you know the underlining is not part of the kanji.
also, tae kim is for grammar and you should absolutely supplement kanji studies with something else so i would really not worry at all about the kanji on the tae kim app as it’s not (or shouldn’t be) your primary way of getting to know and studying kanji.
It’s just under the example sentences or to bring emphasis to the point the sentence is making. The underlining isn’t there when the same words are listed in the vocabulary section. Just like. Scroll down some.
