I started playing board games with junior high students at lunch. Great way to build rapport.
Summer vacation is almost upon us! Any plans? This year I won’t have any remedial students so I don’t have to go to summer school. I plan on just couch potatoing it up.
Rod Ellis is going to be in Nagoya this weekend for a TBLT conference. I’ll be there to see him for what I can assume will be close to the last time (he is old). Though I don’t always agree with him he is one of the last of the original universally recognized figures of language teaching.
PE classes in university as part of general ed?
Has there ever been a time research has changed a deep seated belief you had from personal experience teaching or language learning? Or do you think its more common you built you own principles around research that justify your own beliefs from experience, maybe tweaked them a little to fit the research but they are mostly the same.
