Hello. I'm a fourth generation Japanese American and I'm looking to try to research my japanese kouseki so I can apply for the nikkei visa.
I have N2 and lived there for four years and would like to move back without the visa being tied to my employment.
My family lost contact with any relatives in Japan during the war but I have information on my family tree starting on when they first moved to America. Where should I start if I were to look? Thanks for the advice!
