Outsourcing Work as a 個人事業

Saw a post today about outsourcing work to part-time workers in Japan or outside of Japan. I'm in a similar situation and have some questions about managing this and what can and cannot be counted toward business expenses.

Background: I work in the software industry and started working as a 個人事業 (freelancer) for a previous company where I was previously employed full-time. Currently, this company is my only client. I work on projects that are quoted and invoiced monthly, earning 44万. The work isn't too time-consuming. Recently, I was offered more work from the same company and another different company. However, increasing my freelance work while maintaining my full-time work is challenging.

I have a friend who worked with me at the same company in Japan. He returned to his home country, India, and has since started a company that handles projects for international clients. We discussed the possibility of outsourcing work to his company, as the cost of living in India is lower compared to Japan, resulting in a lower rate.

Questions:

  1. How feasible do you think it is to get clients in Japan and send the work to my friend's company?
  2. I'm aware that I would need to spend more time on management, paperwork, and other tasks. Would it be better to establish a 法人 (corporation) for this?
  3. My friend invited me to India for a week to discuss a potential business partnership. Can this visit be considered a business expense?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
