For proficient Japanese users, is being a foreigner (taking EJU) an advantage over Japanese students when entering a better university?

I'm aiming for a CS degree. For context, I'm from Turkey, where there are 5 universities in the top 500 globally, while Japan has about 13. I couldn't get into these top 5 universities here and am considering retaking the exam. However, I’m now thinking that the EJU might be a better option, especially since I have an N1 certificate with near full points (and I hope I will be at an advantage for the language part).

Here, once I heard that university exam for foreigners in Turkey is easier, so that some students enter very competitive universities but struggle to keep up with the studies and drop out. So I wonder if the same might be true for the EJU, even if probably not to the same extent.

Do you guys think I might be able to get into a better university in Japan compared to what I can get into here?

I would really appreciate any opinions about my situation. Thanks!
