Hi everyone I’ve been doing my research on multiple cities worldwide and when it came to japan Sapporo and Fukuoka were on the dot for my needs.
My question now is how they compare? I’ve only been to Sapporo. Im a young dude and im planning to go to one of these cities either for university or right after graduation.
Im an avid snowboarder so obviously Sapporo was immediately on my radar, but I do enjoy more peaceful and laid back environments, which I know Sapporo has, but its still a huge city and I don’t really know much much more Fukuoka fits the bill on that. I also love Nature and would probably be hiking regularly if I feel like it. Sapporo has my favorite food in the world and im assuming Fukuoka mirrors so i have no concerns about that.
Im primarily more of a winter person, but I also feel as if id enjoy less of an Industrial type city like Fukuoka, which really splits me.
But theres also one important factor that goes into it too… the girls. 😭
I’ve heard that Fukuoka is known for having really cute girls (mainly cause they’re young) and if I want to start a life there I do take importance in finding someone I wanna be with, and honestly when I went to Sapporo I didn’t pay attention to that, so I don’t know how they compare to the girls in Sapporo lol.
Ultimately I just wanna lead a nice fulfilling life where I also have many things to do i:e snowboarding, and people to socialize with, which Sapporo blows every other city that ive been in out of the water btw.
If anyone has been to Fukuoka and can give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you 🙏, and if it means anything I come from Suburban Los Angeles.
