Hey everyone!
I am currently trying to organize an itinerary for my 4 day stay in Okinawa at the beginning of August and was looking for some input please.
I won't be renting a car and have booked a hotel (can still cancel) in Naha that is central to what we have planned so far.
Day 1 – land at 9:50AM.
After checking into hotel we were thinking of going to Makishi Market for lunch and then have a slow afternoon exploring. So far I've seen Kokusei Dori is close but have also read it is a tourist trap, so if anyone has any better suggestions I would be grateful.
Day 2
Tomari Lyumachi market for breakfast
Walk over to Naminoue shrine and beach to explore.
Lunch at vida loca
Then I was thinking of exploring Yachimun street in the afternoon.
Dinner is booked in at Ryukyu Sushi Tsukji Aozora Sandaime Naha for our first omakase of the trip.
Day 3
I am going to book a tour to a nearby island for a beach day and have my eye on Nagannu island. I looked at the ferry to do it myself but all of the morning slots are already booked unfortunately.
Day 4
There is an American BBQ place my husband wants to visit for dinner in Chatan so I've been looking for a beachy area to explore but am not really sure where to go. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.
Please rip it apart so I can make sure the 4 days are worth it, I would hate to waste my first time in Okinawa.
Driving won't be a possibility I know it's not ideal but we are happy to wait around for public transport if we have to.
