I’m going on an exchange programme and I just found out I’m off to Aichi! There’s a huge stereotype that Nagoya is ‘the most boring city in Japan’, so I’m very unsure what to think, and I’m also extremely worried. I’m going to be there for four months, which seems quite short, but 120 days is a long time.
Generally, what should I expect? I was hoping to be much closer to Nagoya central but it’s sadly an hour walk away. I’m trying my absolute best to not let anything cloud my judgement but I can’t go in blind. I want to hear what people honestly think of it, what I should expect, what I should prepare myself for and what I can do when I’m there!
I’m also going to be there as a student of course. How foreigner friendly is it? And is it friendly for students? Anything is helpful! 🙂
