Would offering year of rent paid up front help secure a place or would it be weird or offensive?

So I really need to find a place ASAP. 2 months ago I got rejected after putting money down by the "rent securing company" I don't know if it was for be I'm gaijin or because my wages weren't high enough. Now I'm looking at cheaper places and I just want to seal the deal and use my hanko. I have money saved in a foreign account that I wouldnt mind using to pay a year upfront if that improves my chance of just getting in. What you think?
