Hi! This might be a very dumb question and feel free to insult me if it is.
I'll be temporarily moving to Japan from Canada on a working holiday visa in January of next year. I have been booking a few hotels for overnight trips on Booking.com and a few of them messaged me saying they'll need to see my passport when arrive (which I do remember being a thing when I was last in Japan).
By the time I go to these hotels, I will be in Japan with a residence card. However, they've all been booked with my Canadian information. Will I be okay to still just show my Canadian passport? I assume it's just a gut-check to ensure I am who I say I am?
