I will be studying as an international student in kyoto in the fall/ winter and I am looking for an apartment.
It seems like the area between the kamo river and the metro station karasuma oike is a vivid area while still being in my budget.
Is this area good to live or is it a rather quiet area? I want to live in a crowdy area with lots of restaurants near by so I was looking for the „vibrant“ downtown. As someone who never was in Kyoto before this is kinda tricky so I would be thankful for any advice.
