Western room to hybrid tatami room?

Hi, I'm going to move to a new apartment soon and am considering introducing a hybrid tatami room. The apartment is a one-room layout with a kitchen area in the same space where I will sleep.

In the past few months, I've used a low table with a floor chair as my workspace and really enjoyed working at a lower height. I also don't mind sleep on harder surfaces. Now that I'm moving, I think a futon and a low dining table would be a great addition. Since it's a one-room apartment, rolling up the futon when I have guests would also create more space.

I'm planning a 3 x 3 meter tatami area with a square tile in the middle.

What do you guys think? Considering the kitchen will be in the same space, do you think there's a risk of mold developing quickly? Any insight would be welcome!

I try to add a picture of the room in the comments
