Does Japan view large birthmarks the same way they view tattoos?

I'm going over for a few months to work in a company office in Japan and as you might have guessed by the title I have a rather large and obvious red birthmark on my arms, hands chest and legs, I'm 100% used to looks and people asking me what it is and I don't take any offense regarding that, I'm just wondering if it is likely some of the stereotypes given to people with tattoos will also be given to me?

It doesn't particularly look like a tattoo and I'm learning how to say I was born with it and how to explain it, I'm just hoping it won't cause me any trouble outside of the usual odd looks, especially if I'm going to baths where tattoos are forbidden, I've tried searching online regarding this but I've not seen any questions like this before.
