My dad was born in Japan and holds a Japanese passport, but he doesn’t have his birth certificate. I’m a US citizen and want to know what steps I need to take to obtain a Japanese passport through him. I’m aware of Japan requiring renouncing other citizenship and loopholes for that. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
