I was going to study psychology in Japan to become a therapist in Japan as I love psychology and find that Japan could probably use more therapists. I do have back-up plans with education or childcare in mind (as my current job is childcare and I've come to love working with kids). Considering the stigma, do you think this career choice is doable in Japan, or should I check with an alternative? More importantly, do they put enough emphasis on mental health as a study or would it be better to get a degree first and then move?
