Osaka accommodation – which of these 2 is better?

Hi

I would like to finalize the bookings for 4-night stay in Osaka during the first week of October. I’m travelling with my cousin, we are both women in our late 40s.

Currently, we have 2 potential hotels:

Option 1- Aloft Osaka Dojima
Option 2- Premier Hotel Cabin President

Both have decent reviews. Aloft seems to be better located. Premier is more affordable.

Have you stayed in either one? What’s your opinion location wise assuming we will be using only public transport from the moment we land at KIX? All feedback (good or bad) is welcome!

We visited Japan before but this is our first trip to Osaka, we are going to be flying in from South Korea and after we will go to Hiroshima for 2 days – 1 night and then to Tokyo. We are not going to Kyoto or Nara this time.

For Osaka, we don’t have tight plans other than 1 day for USJ and we want to visit Katsuoji. The rest is exploring the usual tourist sights at our pace: Dotonbori, river cruise, explore Shinsaibashi, Osaka Castle (outside), eat around.

Depending on time, we might want to go to either Himeji (for the castle) or Kobe (day trip).

Thank you!!
