Is it safe to solo travel as a woman (mid 20s) to Japan?

I’ve never solo travelled before and can get pretty anxious. But I’d like to push myself out of my comfort zone and I’ve always wanted to travel to Japan!

So I was wondering if anyone had any tips? And also just generally how safe it is to travel solo as a woman in Japan. I can’t speak Japanese but am trying to learn the basics before I go. Planning to go late October.
