What’s a good app to make restaurant reservations in Japan other than Tabelog?

Hello! I'm travelling to Japan in October and I've been told I need to make reservations for basically any restaurant I want to visit. The most recommended app seems to be tabelog but it says unavailable in my country when I try to download it. Can anyone reccomend other restaurant reservations apps that work?

Also how true is it that I need to make reservations for every restaurant I want to visit?
