So I’m moving to Tokyo from September until February for 1 semester. I’ve been looking for studios in the city and recently found something nice. I’ve been in contact with the agency, they’re called Sumyca but they want me to pay my full 5 months of stay in 1 lump sum. I find this odd since this means I have 0 security from my side in case something would happen and my money would be gone. I haven’t even met anyone of them, viewed the apartment or anything since I live on the other side of the world. Would you guys consider this safe to do this? I’ve seen good stories about their company online but I find this so weird.
