It's my (32 F) and my partners (33 M) first time to Japan! Arriving at night on Sunday, November 17th and departing late night on Saturday, November 30th. We're ambitious and want to see a lot – but have already cut back a lot! Would love your thoughts on our high level itinerary.
Tokyo: Nov 27 – 22 (5 nights, 4 days) – Looking to stay in Ikebukuro and will explore main attractions, shrines, shopping, food – including: Senso-ji Temple, Tsukiji Outer Market, Ueno Park, Harajuku, Ginza, Meiji Shrine, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Imperial Palace& Gardens, Teamlab Borderless.
Fujikawaguchiko: Nov 22 – 23 (1 night, 2 days) – First day we will explore and sightsee. The second day we will play a round of golf (my partner's dream and I'm looking forward to it as well!). We've already been in touch with a few golf courses, but deciding between Fuji Golf Course and Fuji Classic). That evening we will head to Kyoto.
Kyoto: Nov 23 – 26 (3 nights, 2 days) 1 day for Arashiyama.
Hiroshima: Nov 26 – 27 (1 night, 2 days) We will stay overnight in Hiroshima and explore it the first day. The second day we will visit Miyajima and head to Osaka that evening.
Osaka: Nov 27 – 30 (3 nights, 3 days). One day for Universal Studios.
Does this still seem too busy? We already cut out a few things we were interested in due not having enough time (Visiting Nikko from Tokyo, a night golf trip to Moon Lake Golf Course in Ichihara from Tokyo, and a day trip to Kobe). I would really love to see Hiroshima – but does it take up time that we could have another day in Kyoto (e.g. just do a 1 day trip to Hiroshima instead, or cut it out completely)?
Really appreciate your feedback!
