Yesterday I suddenly saw a really huge crack on one of the sliding glass door of our balcony, neither me nor my roommate know how it got here but ig we maybe slammed it hard. Although the glass doesn't fall apart it's on the place but the crack is huge like a single thread across the width of the glass. Can someone tell me how much it would cost to replace it ? Or should we just let it be like that.
Do i have to pay more or will they just hold my 200,000 yen deposit.

If you don’t remember slamming it then a bird might’ve flown into it. Seems like something your land lord would just take of if you told them
This can happen if something settles and the frame is no longer square. You might be able to tell if this is the problem by how difficult it is to open and close the door. If it feels like it’s stuck or hard to close completely than that’s likely the problem. The reason this is good to check is that even if the glass is replaced it will crack again if the doorframe is undergoing some kind of torsion.
