Residence Cards and Japan Exit

Hi,

I was wondering if someone can help with a situation.

I have a PR visa, spouse has a “spouse of PR holder” visa, and my daughter has a “Long term visa”.

I am exiting Japan for a couple of years and my tax residency will change during that time. I have submitted by moving out notice to Ward office and got a 5 year re-entry permit.

In such a situation, should i be submitting our residence cards at the airport, or keep them with us? I general, how is the procedure suppose to pan out at the airport?

I just want to remain informed so that i can navigate the procedure at the airport without doubts.

Many thanks.
