Hello,
My friend recently left Japan and while I'm still here she asked for my help to pay her remaining credit card balance. I needed a credit card too and started using it for my own transactions beginning last March 31. I've made sure to account every transaction I made so far and it comes down to 100,613 yen. I've been making the monthly payments too since getting the card (20,029 yen from April to June 2024). I just wanted to confirm some points given the following:
Assuming I pay off the 100,613 yen in one go, and since the limit is 200,000 yen. Does that mean I still have a remaining 200,000 – 100,613 – 1,787 = 97,600 yen to pay (my friend's debt??) ?
Another thing is, when viewing monthly payments for the next 12 months it only adds up to 135,656 yen, and then the site proceeds to say that the balance after paying that amount is only 82,420. Or is there more to pay and the site is simply limited to showing just the next 12 months?
None of the numbers are making sense to me and it's hard to contact customer service since I don't speak Japanese.
Send help.
Thanks.
