Hi there. I was in Japan from April to June, staying in a private apartment. When I left, all the processes with closing water and gas utilities went fine: with water I paid with cash the last day in Japan, while with gas I paid with credit card when I came back to Italy. The problem I'm having right now is with Kurashi TEPCO, and the electricity account.
Before leaving Japan, I called them to ensure the closure of my account. They told me they were going to close it the day after I was leaving, and they also told me to pay the last bill with credit card from Italy, after leaving Japan. I left Japan on 28th June, and since today, 8th July, I didn't receive any last bill nor notification through e-mail or elsewhere.
I also tried to compile several inquiry forms, both in English and in Japanese. With all of them I received an answer (that looks automated) saying to me that I was only possible to accept my request by the phone. The big problem is that, both the two phone numbers they gave me, seem to be unreachable from overseas (the call simply get closed after a second, and it's not my line's problem).
Right now I'm really confused and I don't know what to do in order to receive the last bill, and finally pay it, given that at this point I don't even have the confirmation that they really closed my account. Do you have any suggestions, or advices of any sorts that may be helpful? Thanks in advance.
