Hello all, starting to plan a trip to Tokyo next fall. Plan on just staying in the Tokyo area for the whole two weeks. Plan to fly into HND airport. Just for laughs I started looking at hotels in Yokohama and they are very very cheap compared to Tokyo. And they are very nice looking hotels too ! So what’s the catch? I do realize we would have to take transportation to go to Tokyo. Other than that is there any reason to not just stay in Yokohama for the whole 2 weeks?
Does Yokohama have good shopping and restaurants (sushi, ramen), coffee, etc. ?
We would for sure visit places in Tokyo too but maybe a few days we just chill on Yokohama? I dunno, these hotel prices seem a bit too good to be true!
