I am currently on working holiday unfortunately I had a major surgery yesterday that may take one or two months to recover from.
My WH residence card expires in three weeks. The doctor said that I may be discharged prior to that but I should get regular check up and limit physical activity.
Is there a way for me to extend my stay in Japan temporarily until I recover？ I looked into status of residence change but I'm not sure what I should put since there doesn't seem to me a medical field. There is separately a medical visa that I could apply for but I'm already in Japan…
If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated.
