Went to Japan for the first time recently and it ended up being even more amazing than I thought it would be.
Took a tour package this time around because i wanted to see the temples and travel most of the country. With the little animeish/2months Duolingo words i knew (Please, Thank you, Sorry, Good morning, Good evening, wheres the toilet, delicious, amazing, hi I'm a tourist, help, Hello my name is) and the people's willingness to help me out, I was able to take the train and venture alone most of the trip.
Being conscious of their culture and recent dingus behavior by streamers (Yeah that one guy), I just minded my business as i would do anywhere else and respectfully followed their rules, in exchange i only received warm welcomes and over all amazing hospitality.
Aside from normal workers, I met a few people here and there who were not only ok with me taking a picture of them, they were all delighted i wanted to do so just for my own personal memories and also shared some drinks with me.
No hopes at all that they'll see this but I wanted to sincerely thank these people for making my dream such a pleasant one.
