Long term investor here (from Europe originally) – interested in your opinions.
So I've done OK with individual stocks thus far, on an 48M JPY portfolio, 9.2M is unrealized profit, and YTD total return is about 30%.
I have about 20 individual stocks, ranging from Shell, NVidia, Amazon, Netflix, Nintendo, BP, GSK, fairly diversified….
There is not anything screaming at me that worries me about any of my main stocks – and some have decent potential and/or pay decent dividends – but I'm no trader, I just invest in companies I like and understand……but do you think its best if I take my winnings and move everything into index funds like VT or VOO?
Presumably Id need to give the taxman 20% of my profits if I sell now too…?
