Can’t remember name of mini-series with marionettes

Hello all! There was this off-kilter (6 mini eps or so?) Japanese series that I watched in the mid-noughties that I used to be crazy about. I think it was called —ville? For the life of me I can’t remember the name or find it on Google. It was shot with marionettes/ puppets that looked like Thunderbirds or Team America, but has a suburban setting. I have very sketchy memories of the characters, though recall two obnoxious twins and a school girl with two pigtails wearing a blue pinafore. Anyone have a clue..?
