Does a Pedagoy or Teaching degree of my homecountry, matter in becoming a Full Teacher(Not ALT) in Japan?

I have read plenty of information about going through a special license to become a proper school-teacher in Japan. My question is simply, whether a Pedagogy or Education minor would help with that process.
