Hey everyone, let me preface this by saying I'm a bit of an over thinker so may seem like a silly question.
I'm planning to move to Japan for the winter season this year. I've applied for around 20 jobs each in Niseko and Hakuba (started applying last week). Today I received an invite to a zoom interview, if I'm interested in that role.
It is a job I would do, however it isn't my top 5 preferences. From what I have read, it could take a while to hear back from my top preferences due to the number of applications.
Is it a good idea to go ahead with the interview process and accept this job, and then pull out if I get my preferred job? (that way, if I don't get my preferred job, I have this one as a back up) Is this considered unethical or is it common practice in the seasonal work world?
Or do I decline this offer and *potentially* risk not getting another offer?
P.S I am eligible for WHV & IDP
Thanks in advance!
