As of September 7, 2022 Japan will no longer be requiring a pre-departure COVID test for *fully vaccinated travelers*. Be aware that Japan requires a minimum of 3 doses (Except Janssen/J&J) of [one of their approved vaccines](https://www.mhlw.go.jp/stf/covid-19/border_vaccine.html) to be considered fully vaccinated.
**NOTE:** There is currently no confirmed information about any of the following things:
1. Removal of the ERFS system
2. Un-guided tourism
3. Working Holiday Visas w/o ERFS
