Thick and rich spicy miso curry ramen soup at Menya Tomo in Tokyo

1. Menya Tomo (麺屋 智) is a curry ramen specialty shop near Shibuya in Tokyo. Their menu consists of a variety of different curry ramen, each with their own twist, but always with a good punch of spices.

   The shop itself is situated between Nakameguro station and Ikejiri-Ohashi station, which are quite easy access from Shibuya. However walking from Shibuya is also an option. Menya Tomo opened in February of 2022 with a quite spacious interior and a sleek and clean design.

   The menu has 4 main types of curry based ramen: spicy miso curry ramen, black garlic curry ramen, potage masala ramen and a spice mazesoba. All of them sound quite enticing and it doesn’t seem like there is a main bowl of sorts.

   I went with their spicy miso curry bowl and added their recommended toppings plus a side of rice, which always seems like a good move when you go for curry ramen.
